A-Level Geography brings together the natural and human worlds. You’ll study how landscapes, climate and hazards work, and how people, cities and economies are changing, often through real case studies from around the world.
It includes fieldwork and an independent investigation, and it’s valued for its mix of science, data and social understanding.
Before you start Year 12, you’ll complete a short Geography bridging project over the summer to get a head start, alongside our Sixth Form expectations and dress code.
How the flow of water and carbon shapes environments and climate.
The causes and impacts of natural hazards and how people respond.
Coastal processes, landscapes and the challenge of managing change.
Trade, migration and the forces that link countries.
How places are shaped by people, identity and change over time.
Collecting, analysing and presenting your own geographical data.
Course content and assessment can vary by exam board and year. Contact the Sixth Form team for the current specification.
