A proud history, a bright future.
Founded in 1558, Alleyne’s Academy has a long-standing tradition of academic excellence and community spirit. Over the centuries, the school has evolved to provide a modern, forward-looking education while staying true to its heritage.
Thomas Alleyne leaves money in trust to found a grammar school for boys in Stone.
A new school building is put up on the original site, near Stone Priory.
The school moves to its present site at Oulton Cross, on land given by Mary Forester.
Staffordshire County Council takes over the running of the school.
The school is enlarged with new classrooms and science laboratories.
Alleyne’s High School becomes Alleyne’s Academy on 1st September.
A thriving 13–18 high school and sixth form at the heart of Stone.
Promoting inclusion, tolerance and equality of opportunity for all.
Ambitious for every student, so all of them make outstanding progress.
Proud of our school, our heritage and the community of Stone.
Every student known and valued as an individual, working with parents.
“At Alleyne’s we are committed to supporting individuals to become the best version of themselves. Our academic curriculum is enriched on a daily basis with extra-curricular opportunities and a wrap-around pastoral curriculum designed to nurture the talents of all students.”
“We are rightly proud of our heritage, having been in existence since 1558. However, as custodians of such a rich history, our job is to help students prepare for the future.”
